Nilansha Foundation is a dynamic and impact-driven NGO dedicated to improving rural livelihoods through regenerative agriculture, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment. Currently working with over 2,500 farmers across 39,000 acres, we focus on climate-resilient farming, carbon credit programs, and inclusive development models for underrepresented communities.

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Fundraising Manager to lead the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy. This individual will be responsible for securing funding from a diverse range of sources including CSR partners, international donors, philanthropic foundations, government grants, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs). The Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in scaling our impact and ensuring long-term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with Nilansha Foundation's mission and goals.
Identify and prioritize funding opportunities in CSR, ESG, philanthropy, and government sectors.

Donor Engagement & Relationship Management

Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors, CSR heads, and grant-making bodies.
Create compelling donor communications including proposals, reports, and presentations.
Organize donor visits, events, and impact showcases to build trust and transparency.

Proposal Development & Grant Writing

Research, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals and applications.
Track application cycles, deadlines, and reporting requirements.

Corporate & CSR Partnerships

Build partnerships with companies to align Nilansha's programs with their CSR mandates.
Facilitate MoUs, funding agreements, and long-term collaborations with corporates and industry bodies.

Monitoring & Reporting

Monitor fundraising performance and maintain accurate records of funds raised.
Prepare periodic reports for internal stakeholders and donors to highlight outcomes and impact.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with program, communications, and finance teams to gather data, stories, and financials needed for donor engagement.
Train junior staff or volunteers in fundraising tasks when necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Development Studies, Business, Social Work, Communications, or related fields.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, CSR partnerships, or development sector donor engagement.
Proven track record of securing funding through CSR, grants, or philanthropic donors.
Strong writing and storytelling skills with an ability to create persuasive content.
Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management abilities.
Familiarity with fundraising tools, donor CRM systems, or grant databases is an advantage.

Passion for rural development, sustainability, and climate action.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and adaptable to a startup-style nonprofit environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across remote and on-ground teams.

Compensation

Competitive and commensurate with experience. Performance-based incentives may apply.

About Nilansha Foundation

Nilansha Foundation is a grassroots NGO working to empower rural communities in Bihar through initiatives in sustainable agriculture, health, education, and climate resilience. We collaborate with farmers, women, youth, and government agencies to drive inclusive and lasting change.

Role Overview

As a Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting field activities such as:

Farmer Workshops: Assist in training sessions on climate-smart agriculture, soil health, and sustainable practices.

Literacy Drives: Help mobilize youth and women for adult education sessions and basic literacy programs.

What We're Looking For

Passion for social impact and rural development
Good communication skills (Hindi/Maithili/Bhojpuri preferred)
Ability to work collaboratively with field teams and local communities
Prior experience in volunteering, teaching, training, or public health is a plus—but not mandatory
